Read this is in a book I am reading at the moment and thought it is definitely worth publishing and letting other people read it.

God’s most powerful weapon, grace has been cast aside in our efforts to be spiritually pure. The modern day Pharisee who focuses on avoiding sin is still focused on sin. In fact, he is little different from the person who is consumed by sin. Both are obsessed with sin – one to avoid it, the other to live in it.

To be fully free from sin means you are not obsessed with it, either trying to get out of it or by bringing people down by focusing on their sin.

Grace means the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God – that means that there is nothing we can do or say that will take away what God has freely given and it is by grace that we are saved not by works or not by anything else we may try to do in order to win God over… It is simply by his grace and his love for us that we are saved. When People focus on sin it is because they have forgetten about grace. There is the need for repentance but from the time you bow at the cross and repent grace steps in… its by grace that we can stand before God on the day we go to heaven. Let not yourselves be so caught up in someones sin that you miss the grace of God yourselves. For the bible tells us not to judge others or we will be judged at the same accord. Let us bestow the love of God and his grace upon others so that when we stumble God will judge us that same way – sometimes I too find myself so critical of what other people do or dont do that I have to check myself and remember that EVERYONE is saved only by grace

So by trying to avoid it too much is also focusing on it too much. Like it that’s deep.

Yep, it’s all about Grace, and the minute you start to make it about anything else then you quickly lose your way. You can’t do it in your own strength, that’s futile and it will get you down. Also it will ruin your assurance. Sounds like a good book to me!

Germ and Ladyluck both points are rather interesting and I think we can all fall in the category of going over board with both.

Hey hi, Grace is God showing His love to you even though you don’t deserve it. You can’t earn God’s grace. You do not deserve to be saved from sin and to have eternal life. God also shows His grace by giving you strength and guidance, and by taking care of you each day. God, by His grace, gives you strength to handle difficult problems in your life. Isn’t God’s grace wonderful ?
