Matthew 23

You could almost call this chapter the “chapter for churches that abuse their members”..

For me it’s Potters House, others it may be any church.

Verse 1-6: Pretty clear do NOT do works for man but only do what the bible says…

In alot of these churches they do preach the bible but they add rules etc that are so hard that they themselves cannot & do not follow & do.

Verse 7-13: Its all about status for these people. Humble doesn’t mean being of humble minded, it mean serving as a servent! You don’t worry about your status, your there to serve & make the life of someone else easier, not harder.

Verse 22-23: I think this is saying don’t put your focus on the church, man etc but put your focus on God, heaven etc.
