Thanks for your comments and being honest, I also am thankful that your not a ‘believer’ and I take it you are a doctor which is awesome.
Let me first say that I believe that Doctors can and do heal people and as a Christian who believes in healing I do not believe in NOT going to doctors etc as God put them hear to help us.
Now ill discuss some of your comments
That article you gave sure does give a good argument against healing. However I can only myself go on from what I have personally experienced and seen.
I myself have been healed from Non-Hodgkins cancer (I do have the medical reports and the doctors 6-7 years later do agree that it was a miracle) and I have prayed and seen people healed from cancer, bung hips etc.
While I have not seen an amputees leg grow out, I have personally seen legs grow inches to balance their legs out more even (which helps the hip pain).
BUT in saying all that I have also seen many people ‘fake’ their healings or feel healed by suggestion.
With your friends son who was healed. I personally would suggest and would hint to go to the doctor anyway. Its not a lack of faith in the healing, if he is healed and does not have it, he is healed and if not. he is not and he can continue his medicine etc.
I hope I have helped argue my point better in a non-threatening way and I look forward to hearing more from you as a learned man and a doctor.
My mistake about thinking your were a doctor - soz! I do not think there is anything wrong with being skeptical, I also personally like to ‘experience’ or see something before I believe or have an opinion about it. So I do not have a problem with your questions.
In regards to diet changes fixing non-Hodgkins, I do think that certain foods can help limit or increase cancer and maybe some experiences have helped with that. However in saying that I know without a doubt that it was no diet change that healed me, guess you may just have to take my word for it there
In regards to why some people get healed and others do not. I do not think it is a lottery were God chooses who gets healed or not, I believe that God wants to heal everyone but there are reasons why they do not.
Some reasons can be:
- Do not want to be healed (people who fake sicknesses)
- Lifestyle (diet, excerise, no rest etc)
- Secret Sin
- Unbelief (if you do not believe it, it prob wont happen).
I will write a post later on and go into more details with what I wrote above
In regards to MySpace custimisation, I removed a lot of my old posts due to me relaunching and rebranding this website. I would suggest this link (http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/archive/2006/04/hacking-myspace-layouts), you only need to create a few images and this imo is the easiest and most simplest way.

Thanks for your comment Rachel.
Are you talking about the article Rob added to the discussion?
Healings sure are a hard thing to fathom and I usually use two scriptures in defense to them.
1) John 20:29 - Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Some people have to see healings before they believe them and that is ok.
2) Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
He healed yesterday and he still heals today…
Rachel if you do not mind me asking. What is your personal experience?
