Our church moved into a new building and we had a dedication service of the building. Most people I talked too (including me) did not have a clue what a church dedication was all about. So what is a church dedication? Is it like a baby dedication were the parents dedicate their kid to be raised in a Christian home?

The Pastor (Leader of WA Four Square church) preached the sermon based on Solomons prayer of dedication of the temple in 2 Chronicles 6. This is about how Solomon has dedicated this temple to be used as a place of God were people can sacrifice, meet God and get atonement for their sins. The Pastor then talked about how the Temple of God is in us and how we do not have to go to a building to find Jesus.
