Luke 2

Verse 5: Interesting they were not married until after Jesus was born. There wouldve been a real sting of rejection over the family back when iligetimate kids were a blight on the culture. Verse 21: It was the Jewish law that you must be circumised on the 8th (due to health reasons) but what if [...]

Verse 21-22: he was kept silenced & dumb so he couldn’t respond & speak words against what Gabriel said. Our words can either build up the promises of God or tear them down. As you can see in verse 64, as soon as he fullfiled the promise of God by naming the child. He got [...]

Way I see it is that no matter what God has our back & we will be ok. The rest will sort itself out. Verse 7-8: wars, nation [...]

Verse 12-14: Jesus knew the fig wouldn’t have any fruit but still he looked for some & then cursed it. Why? Verse 15-17: This Jesus doesn’t get talked about much. Verse 24-25: good reminder about having a right heart before we do business with God.

Verse 2-12: interesting Jesus didn’t mention any “get out clauses” for marriage. Verse 21: was a test of his heart of which master he served (God or mammon) & not that you have to sell everything to be saved.
