Matthew 5

Category: bible reading

Verse 13: never understood this verse as I didn’t think salt loosed it’s flavour until I heard an explanation about that if it’s not certain salt (like sea salt) it does indeed loose it’s flavour.

Verse 19: yesterday I talked about non-mature people getting opportunities before me. This scripture of the lease will be greater is like a kick to the guts

Verse 22-25: what I’ve learnt is that the person your angry at most likely won’t even know & is getting on with life. Going to the person is not for them but it’s for you

Verse 28-29: with my own struggles I’ve learned that no matter how hard it is, you need to put away what is causing you to sin. Whether it’s the net, radio etc.

For me it was a full time job as it filled up the day with work rather than idle time. It also allowed us to save for a house. When you put away that arm or eye God will bless the sacrifice.

Verse 37: this is what ticks me off, people who don’t keep their word.
